Garmin International’s headquarters is getting a new parking garage and SSM has been awarded the exterior cladding system.
At the end of December, in 2011, a fire swept through the 27,000 square foot church, damaging much of the roof and the interior components. The stone facade of the sanctuary building, built in 1905, remained.
A main feature of the lobby space for the new facilities for Comet Industries is a series of custom, laser cut, carbon steel divider panels. Comet’s design team at Clockwork used areal imagery of a rail yard to develop a pattern for the screens that separate the lobby from some private offices adjacent to it.
Working with 3 Axis, inc., SSM utilized the use of our high speed laser cutter to fabricate the aluminum frames for a part of the new penguin exhibit at the Kansas City Zoo.
3 Axis, Inc. first approached SSM Sheet Metal to provide the copper cladding for a feature wall in the new Polsinelli Head Quarters building. This feature element, as designed by 360 Architects, becomes the focal point of the firm’s lobby.
