Custom Exterior Cladding System

Description

Situated on the corner of 19th & Main, the striking composition of concrete and zinc panels makes for a study in contrasts.

As phase 2 of the Corrigan Station redevelopment, this Crossroads Arts District building features a unique cladding system on the upper two levels of this three story building.

Fabricated from blackened zinc, SSM produced custom panels that feature a 6″ blade projecting out from the building’s face.  Spaced 6″ apart, the blades create a visually dynamic surface, casting shadow patterns and catching sunlight.

Wrapping around all four elevations, the zinc fins appear differently on each facade due to the way the sunlight strikes the surface of the blades.
