Entrepreneur Hall of Fame

Signage Feature

Description

Having completed the metal cladding components on Henry W. Bloch School of Management, we were pleased to have the school come back to us a year later to add a signage element for their Entrepreneur Hall of Fame.

Additionally, they wanted a turn key approach with SSM handling all aspects of the fabrication and installation. There was a tight schedule and a limited amount of time to work on site.  That lead to the design being pretty self contained, almost a one piece unit.  The light fixtures had to be easy and economical to change out should the need arise.

SSM worked with the staff to select the proper lighting elements, color of Lexan to be used and other materials.  Then, we worked backwards from the installation sequence to figure out how we were going to install the sign, build the light box and define the reflectors form based upon the LEDs being used.

LED fixtures were selected for low maintenance.  Cor-ten steel was selected to match the existing building that we had worked on previously.  That meant the signage feature had to have the patina accelerated in order to match the existing.  The sides and the frame provide the support while the two face panels can be removed should the need arise.
