Working with the Medical Planning Consultant team from Kahler Slater, GouldEvans designed the Patterson Health Center in Harper County, Kansas.
A key component to the design are the two identity feature elements near the public entry points. Referencing iconic images of the Kansas prairie, the designer team selected two different photos to create the imagery.
Fabricated from custom perforated stainless steel sheets, SSM created and installed the panels that you see. By attaching back to the standing seams of the existing panels, SSM created a solution that is striking but does not compromise the water tight integrity of the building’s cladding system.
These graphic features communicate warmth while adding a sense of place.
