Jack Elliott
General Foreman
When Jack graduated from high school, his dad knew a guy who owned a residential HVAC company. That guy needed help and was looking to hire. Jack’s dad knew that his son was looking for a career to start him on the path to independence and set up an interview for his son.
His dad’s coworker had family in the union sheet metal trade and he joined the union. She wanted to help Jack gain more knowledge and understanding of trade. Once he joined the SMACNA apprentice training program, Jack soon learned that there were other aspects to the work that were more interesting to him than the HVAC side.
He has been scratch building dune buggies for years and enjoys putting them together almost as much as finding a new trail or hill to climb.
Now, having worked 40 years, his last 38 in the Architectural Sheet Metal trade, Jack is planning for his retirement at the end of year. That means he will have more time for fishing and getting out in his dune buggy.
