Description

Working with a partner, SSM utilized our high speed, fiber optic laser to create the intricate, “girih” eight point star pattern.  Sometimes called a “Persian Knot,” the pattern is thousands of years old and is derived from the Moorish decorative vocabulary.

Fabricated from 1/8″ thick aluminum plate, six panels – each about 3′ wide x 6′ long – had the return legs broke up and those elements were welded to a rigid aluminum tube frame.

The two completed assemblies were then painted and delivered as one piece units.

Installation to the existing lobby and elevator lobby was completed by our partner.
