When students returned to classes in the fall of 2023, they found a newly renovated school building with a brand new entry feature.

The school’s motto is, “Success for all” and their new addition helped to facilitate that goal.

Dressed in the school’s colors, SSM’s 900 Series Panels are fabricated from .090” alumium plate, creating an open joint rainscreen cladding system.   Coming in at about 1,300 square feet, SSM created the 3’ – 3” square panels, the custom corner panels plus all of the associated flashings and trims in house.  The backup system includes 3” of mineral wool on a girt sytem that the panels attach to.

Tested and proven, our approach allows for an infinite number of possible colors, even in limited quantites.  And, that includes Chapel Hill Elementary Bobcat Blue!
