Matt was a bartender for much of his early adult life. Trapped indoors, working long hours and weekends just wasn’t working out for him so, he decided to make a life change. Examining what he liked: working with his hands, being outside and being home on the weekends with his family started to add up in favor of working in the trades.

Once he completed his apprenticeship training, Matt really got into the work. One of his favorite projects was installing the metal panel ceiling at Science City, because the mirror polished stainless steel made the work more challenging. And, being Science City, he could take his wife and three kids to see it!

When not working, as an avid sports fan, Matt is watching baseball, cheering on the Chiefs and cheering on his oldest — who just started college.
