Kiewit Corporation, one of North America’s largest construction and engineering organizations, wanted to consolidate their presence in the Kansas City area while giving themselves room to grow. By building a new headquarters facility, Kiewit could accomplish both. The Kansas City Business Journal‘s listing of biggest Engineering firms places Kiewit at number 3 and, with their new headquarters expansion efforts in Lenexa, they now have room to grow larger.
Complete in January 2020, the campus has a combined 385,000 square feet of office space, accommodating about 1,300 employees spread out over three buildings.
SSM provided components for all three buildings on the Kiewit campus. From formed metal, single skin panels by Centria, to column covers & beam cladding to soffit panels to flashings & trims, scuppers, equipment screens, gates and decorative interior louver dividers, SSM clad a variety of surfaces.
